About: ADFAC is a nonprofit organization that aims to assist national and international policy in the context of protecting and promoting the rights of indigenous peoples, specifically women and youth, in the fight against poverty.
The objectives of ADFAC are:
Strengthening internal governance and the
indigenous component of CACO-REDD+
The steering committee of the indigenous component of REDD+ since its establishment is faced with many difficulties in its operation, the monitoring process and the effective participation of indigenous peoples.
These difficulties are reflected in terms of the low confidence among its members, a dependency vis-à-vis civil society component CACOREDD+ for its activities, weakness in the establishment of partnerships and resource mobilization.
Provide the indigenous component CACOREDD+ of institutional, technical and operational capacity allowing it to play its role in the effective participation of indigenous peoples in REDD+ process and the fight against climate change in the Congo. This concerns making a documentary review of legal texts, management and operating procedures, reports ... a participatory analysis of practices, the current level of participation in REDD+ process.
